Two Rivers Cafe in Basalt

Really enjoyed the breakfast here. I had a tamale breakfast, and my lady had the huevos rancheros. Both meals were really good. Super interactive staff makes it fun to be there. Located in old basalt, it has a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Nice views of the town from here. One thing to know though it is a cash only establishment, which isn't that big of a deal because the bank is right across the street in the old train Depot. Stop by and eat it up before you head up the frying pan for your recreation activities!

Took 20 minutes to be seated, and 30 minutes of waiting for them to ask for my order. If their cinnamon swirl pancakes weren’t so good we would’ve left and this would be 1 stars. If you don’t have a ton of time on your hands I do not recommend as they can only handle a few tables.

Great breakfast -. Needs Corn Beef Hash on the menu every day.

This is a combination of 2 breakfast visits by 3 people each time. Our first visit was marred by VERY slow service. It was 10 minutes before anyone came to the table to get drinks, then a good 20 minutes for our simple platters of eggs, bacon, etc to come out. The food was good, bacon was crispy as requested, scrambled eggs nicely done, the pancakes had that great diner taste to them, and the ham was nicely seared - yum. Our 2nd trip was faster, but the food not as good. I had the chorizo huevos rancheros, which was a mish mash of tortilla, chorizo, mushrooms, spinach, green chili, cheese, etc. The chorizo was a bit scarce and the spinach just plain nasty - stringy, tasteless, black little bits - I had to pick it out. My guests omelette was over cooked, had little flavor and not enough cheese. She left 1/2 of it.We were in town for 6 days and didn't go back.

This is simply the best "comfort food" breakfast you will find in this valley, and I hope it never changes. Great value for portion size and taste. Its not fancy and in this valley is a bit old fashion, but that is exactly why I recommend it to anyone looking for breakfast.

A friend of ours, whom we were visiting, treated us to breakfast and she recommended the cinnamon pancake. Boy, was that delicious! Be sure to have one - they're huge!

My boyfriend and I go here every Saturday morning for breakfast. It's the best! We love the cinnamon swirl pancake, breakfast burrito, and the specials are awesome! We tell everyone about this little gem when asked where to get a good breakfast.

CASH ONLY! Decent food, nothing incredible to write home about but I would come back. Waitress got the one change we requested wrong. Would do four stars but they also don't accept credit card so only three.
